This project aims to develop telecollaboration activities and tasks within the framework of two pre-service teacher education courses in Sweden and in Japan. Both courses aim at teaching undergraduate student-teachers the interactional dynamics of classroom-based teaching. The course syllabi in both countries focus on methods and interactional dynamics of language teaching and aim at equipping student-teachers with communicative skills that will help them in their profession.

Activities that encourage students from both countries to meet online and get engaged in hands-on tasks on classroom data and reflective practice have been designed. The exchange between the Swedish and Japanese students that come from different educational and classroom interaction cultures will hopefully facilitate an educational cultural understanding, and will surely bring in a strong international perspective to these courses.
